Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-09-25
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
1.1 OneVal is operated by WeGetDesign Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. In these terms "we", "us" and "OneVal" mean WeGetDesign Ltd trading as OneVal.
1.2 These terms govern your use of the OneVal website at oneval.co.uk, the OneVal console, and the OneVal API at api.oneval.co.uk (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, ticking the acceptance box at sign-up, or using the Service, you agree to them.
1.3 If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and "you" means that organisation.
1.4 The Service is a business tool. It is not offered to consumers, and consumer protection law does not apply to it except where it cannot be excluded.
2. The Service
2.1 The Service returns UK property information — address and location context, recorded sale history, and related area data — together with indicative guide prices and rent estimates, for properties in England and Wales.
2.2 Every response identifies the public-sector sources that contributed to it. The attribution statements those sources require are published at oneval.co.uk/licences, and every response links there.
2.3 We may add, change or withdraw features. Where a change removes something material from a paid plan, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email.
2.4 During any private-preview period we may limit who can sign up and may change the Service without notice.
3. Accounts, API keys and seats
3.1 You must provide accurate account details and keep them up to date.
3.2 API keys are issued to your account. You are responsible for keeping them confidential and for all use made with them. Tell us at once at support@wegetdesign.com if you believe a key has been compromised; you can also revoke and reissue keys from the console.
3.3 A "seat" is a named user of your account with console access. Seats may not be shared between people.
3.4 You must be at least 18 to hold an account.
4. Plans, fees and billing
4.1 Free tier. New accounts receive an allowance of 50 API calls per calendar month at no charge. The free tier is not a plan, carries no seats beyond the account holder, and may be changed or withdrawn on notice.
4.2 Paid plans. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance by subscription. The plan price and per-seat price are shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe, exclusive of VAT. VAT is added at the applicable rate at checkout.
4.3 Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel.
4.4 Allowances. Each plan carries a monthly allowance of API calls, increased by a fixed amount per seat as shown on the pricing page. Allowances reset on your billing date and do not carry over. Calls beyond your allowance are refused; we do not bill overage.
4.5 Changing seats. You may add or remove seats at any time through the billing portal. Stripe applies the price difference pro rata to the current billing period.
4.6 Cancellation. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. We do not refund the remainder of a period already paid for.
4.7 Failed payment. If a payment fails we will retry it and notify you. While a payment remains outstanding API calls on your account are paused. Access resumes automatically once payment succeeds. If payment is not received within 14 days we may cancel the subscription and return the account to the free tier.
4.8 Price changes. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. Changes apply from your next billing period after the notice period.
4.9 Taxes. You are responsible for any taxes other than VAT that apply to your purchase.
5. Acceptable use
5.1 You may use the Service to obtain property information and estimates for your own business purposes, and to display results to your own users within your product or service, provided you comply with this section.
5.2 You must not:
(a) use the Service, or any output from it, to build, populate, verify, clean or enrich an address list, address database, postcode database or mailing list, whether for yourself or anyone else;
(b) systematically query the Service to enumerate the properties at a postcode, street or area, or otherwise reconstruct any underlying dataset in whole or in part;
(c) store, cache or combine responses for the purpose of avoiding future calls to the Service, other than transient caching for the operation of your own product for no more than 24 hours;
(d) resell, sublicense, redistribute or make available the Service or raw response data to third parties as a data product, or offer a service whose primary purpose is to pass through OneVal data;
(e) remove, hide or alter the attribution carried in responses, or present OneVal data in a way that removes the attribution its sources require (see section 6);
(f) use automated means to circumvent rate limits, allowances or access controls, or share keys across accounts;
(g) reverse engineer or attempt to derive the source code, models or source data of the Service, except as permitted by law;
(h) use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of the Open Government Licence or any other licence under which our source data is provided;
(i) use the Service to make decisions about individuals that produce legal or similarly significant effects on them without appropriate human review.
5.3 We monitor usage volumes and patterns to enforce this section. We do not need, and do not record, the content of your queries to do so (see the Privacy Policy).
5.4 We may suspend access without notice where we reasonably believe this section has been breached or the Service is at risk. We will tell you why and give you an opportunity to respond.
6. Attribution and onward use
6.1 Our data comes from public-sector sources licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0 and, in some cases, under explicit commercial agreements. Those licences require attribution.
6.2 Each API response carries a single attribution line and a link to oneval.co.uk/licences, which holds the full statements. If you display OneVal data to your own users, you must reproduce that attribution line and link, or an equivalent that meets the requirements at oneval.co.uk/licences, wherever the data is shown.
6.3 You acquire no rights in the underlying source data beyond those the source licences grant you.
7. Nature of the information — important
7.1 Guide prices and estimates, not valuations. Any price, rent or value figure returned by the Service is an indicative estimate derived automatically from published statistics and recorded transactions. It is not a valuation, appraisal or survey, has not been prepared or reviewed by a qualified valuer, and does not comply with any professional valuation standard. It must not be described to anyone as a valuation or relied on as one.
7.2 Not advice. Nothing the Service returns is financial, legal, planning, environmental or investment advice. Decisions about buying, selling, letting, lending against or insuring property should be based on professional advice and a physical inspection.
7.3 Sourced, not warranted. We show you where every field came from and when it was last updated. We do not warrant that source data is accurate, complete or current, and public-sector datasets contain errors and gaps. Where we cannot answer a question the response says so explicitly rather than guessing.
7.4 Flood, heritage and planning designations are derived by matching coordinates against published boundaries and are subject to the coverage limits and confidence levels stated in each response. They are a screening aid, not a substitute for official searches.
7.5 Coverage is England and Wales. Coverage limits are stated in each response.
7.6 Your queries. The house number and postcode you send in a request are used to produce the response and are not stored against your account. To the extent a query contains personal data of your own users or customers, you are the controller of that data and we process it only for the duration of the request, on your instructions, and for no other purpose.
8. Availability and support
8.1 We aim to keep the Service available 99.5% of the time each month, excluding planned maintenance, which we will notify in advance where practicable. This is a target, not a guarantee. Self-serve plans carry no service-level agreement or service credits.
8.2 Support is by email to support@wegetdesign.com on UK business days. We aim to respond within one business day.
8.3 We may change the API in backwards-compatible ways at any time. Breaking changes are introduced under a new contract version with at least 90 days' notice before an old version is withdrawn.
9. Intellectual property
9.1 We (and our licensors) own the Service, its software, documentation, estimate methods and the compiled datasets it draws on. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service in accordance with these terms for as long as your account is in good standing.
9.2 You own your own products and any data you bring to the Service. You grant us no rights in it other than what is needed to run the Service.
9.3 You may describe OneVal as a data source in your product. You may not use our name or logo in a way that suggests endorsement without our written consent.
10. Confidentiality
Each party will keep the other's non-public information confidential and use it only for the purposes of these terms. This does not apply to information that is public, independently developed, or required to be disclosed by law.
11. Liability
11.1 Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
11.2 Subject to 11.1, we are not liable for: loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill; loss of or damage to data; indirect or consequential loss; or any loss arising from reliance on a guide price, estimate or designation returned by the Service (see section 7).
11.3 Subject to 11.1 and 11.2, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, or £100 if you were on the free tier.
11.4 You will indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of section 5 (Acceptable use) or section 6 (Attribution).
12. Termination
12.1 You may close your account at any time from the console. Any active subscription runs to the end of its current period.
12.2 We may terminate your account on 30 days' notice for convenience, or immediately if you materially breach these terms and (where the breach can be remedied) fail to remedy it within 14 days of notice, or if you become insolvent.
12.3 On termination your API keys stop working and you must stop using the Service. Sections 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11 and 14 survive termination.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version at oneval.co.uk/terms with its effective date, and email account holders at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
14. General
14.1 These terms, the Privacy Policy and the pricing page are the whole agreement between us for the Service.
14.2 Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
14.3 You may not assign these terms without our consent. We may assign them to a successor to the OneVal business on notice to you.
14.4 Notices from us to you are sent to the email address on your account; notices from you to us go to support@wegetdesign.com. A notice is treated as received on the next UK business day after sending.
14.5 If any provision is found unenforceable the rest remain in force.
14.6 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
